Will this event really impact my business?

The goal is to activate the entire state through base camps and fan zones. Organizers anticipate an additional 750,000 people in the Puget Sound region, with anticipation that visitors will want to explore all that our state has to offer while they are here.

How long will visitors be staying?

The travelers who show up stay longer than traditional sporting events – closer to one week. It’s an exciting opportunity and we need to be ready to leverage this opportunity.

What is the anticipated economic impact?

Visit Seattle’s preliminary economic impact analysis showed the event could bring in $652.6 million in direct spending, $929 million in total economic impact, 20,762 total jobs and $106.5 million in total state and local taxes generated.

Is there direct financial assistance available for businesses to get World Cup Ready?

How do I plan and get permitting for my special event related to FIFA World Cup 26 Seattle™?

If you’re planning on hosting your own World Cup-related event, there are several ways to host your event or watch party depending on the size, location, and scope of your activity.

Some will require permission from the City of Seattle, others will only require permission from FIFA. Make sure to give yourself more than enough time to plan and permit your event.  The Seattle Special Events Office is the coordinating function for Seattle’s Events and Activities Unified Permitting process during the event and is your starting point.
