Member Feature: Andersen Life StoriesToday’s featured member, Peter Andersen, Founder of Andersen Life Stories, says that he bases his work on two fundamental facts: First, he LOVES a good story and second, everybody has one to tell. “There are more than seven billion people on the earth,” Peter says, “and every one represents an entire world of its own. Working together to capture some of that miracle and preserve it for posterity is the most thrilling job I can imagine.”

Tell us about your business

Andersen Life Stories helps individuals and families record and preserve their stories while the memories are still fresh and the voices telling them are still here. Through compassionate listening and professional audio or video sessions in the comfort of their homes, I help people capture everything from war stories to family lore to treasured recipes. Whether you prefer audio, video, print, or podcast formats — and whether it’s a single session or a series — together we’ll create something beautiful for your family and future generations.

Why did you join the Chamber?

I’ve been lucky to call Seattle home for 60 years, and I’ve always loved the sense of community here. I’m excited that Andersen Life Stories is now part of that story. I’ve already begun meeting people through the Chamber, and an advertising mentor I connected with at an event has helped me enormously. As a new business owner, I’m eager to keep learning, keep connecting, and become even more involved in the city that raised me.

What are you/is your business interested in – or – what do you need currently?

Right now, I’m looking to connect with people and organizations who care about legacy, family, and storytelling. Retirement communities, estate planners, senior-care professionals, and family-service providers are especially good fits — but truly, anyone who works with people who have stories worth saving is someone I’d love to meet.
