Today’s featured member, Julia Schuehle, Field Marketing & Media Coordinator, Northwest Region for Canine Companions, said the organization is leading the service dog industry so their clients and their dogs can live with greater independence.

Tell us about your business

Canine Companions provides service dogs to adults, children, and veterans with disabilities, and facility dogs to professionals working in health care, criminal justice, and educational settings. We are excited about all we’ve accomplished since opening our first field office in Seattle to better serve the local community.

September is National Service Dog Month, a celebration honoring the hard work and life-changing impact service dogs make on people with disabilities every day.

Why did you join the Chamber?

We decided to join the Chamber to expand our network, amplify our mission, and engage with the broader community. The Chamber provides a valuable platform to connect with local businesses, community leaders, and others who share our commitment to making a positive impact in Seattle.

What are you/is your business interested in or what do you need currently?

We are interested in gaining more awareness of our presence in the Seattle area and need more people to volunteer as fosters and puppy raisers, and at events we host locally to better fulfill our mission.
