I spent 10 years in theater and then transitioned to working at startups leading teams through change for over a decade. It was then that I saw how my theater background served as the perfect foundation to thrive in startup environments. Much like theater, startups operate best with individuals who can anticipate what might be next, quickly read a situation and respond accordingly, own their role while also being tuned into their team members, and have the ability to pivot with ease when things go off plan.

In 2020, I launched The McLaughlin Method to help founders and startups create a culture that fuels growth. Traditional methods of creating culture fall flat. They do very little little to make lasting changes or to impact business objectives. My method helps leaders and teams quickly implement behaviors that produce results that matter – happy, powerful teams that consistently deliver.

Why did you join the Chamber?

I joined the Chamber through a reciprocal membership with the Phinney Neighborhood Association so I could build a local network in our business community. Despite living in Seattle for six years, most of my professional network is spread across the country and globally. My business methods work virtually but can be even more powerful in person, so I’m eager to work more locally.

What are you/is your business interested in or what do you need currently?

As you’re making plans for the end of the year with team and company events, please consider the McLaughlin Method for interactive, engaging workshops and speaking engagements.
