The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Transportation Choices Coalition and the University of Washington, has launched a social media campaign to encourage commuters to choose public transportation as they return to office.

The Get Going with Transit campaign is sponsored by Expedia Group and serves to connect businesses and their employees to the resources and tools necessary to make transit their first choice. Information on routes, safety, first and last-mile connections, and other rider intel will help you and your employees make more informed decisions about transportation opportunities.

Sound Transit Link ridership is back to 83% of pre-COVID levels and King County Metro carries more than 241,000 weekday riders. The Seattle Metro Chamber knows that our regional economy cannot thrive if we continue to be bogged down in traffic. Congestion’s negative impacts on our businesses, community, and environment must be mitigated where possible.

New ORCA updates were rolled out last week. You can check out this FAQ from the Seattle Times to make sure your ORCA card stays working. MyORCA.com can help you add money to your account or order a new card online and find a participating retailer. Transit customers must re-register using the MyORCA website before June 1. If your employer manages your ORCA card, you do not have to enter your information on the new website.
