“If an economy is going to work, it has to work for everyone”: Series finale of Seattle Metro Chamber podcast

With Marilyn Strickland’s departure from the Chamber to run for Congress, our Under Construction podcast series is coming to a close. For our finale, Jenna Hanchard, an award-winning journalist and current Culture and Innovation Manager at The Riveter, flipped the mic and interviewed Marilyn about her time at the Seattle Metro Chamber, what she learned from hosting this podcast, and the importance of regionalism.

Over 22 episodes, the Seattle Metro Chamber podcast took you behind the scenes with local leaders from different industries and backgrounds, including former Governor Gary Locke, former Seattle Mayor Norm Rice, Managing Director of Community Relations at Alaska Airlines Shaunta Hyde, Vice President of Community Engagement and Philanthropy at NHL Seattle Mari Horita, and many more.

The podcast gave us a flavor of the people behind the brands and we learned more about the economic and community impact of our diverse Chamber members.
