The life sciences industry represented $22.7 billion in total economic activity and contributed $11.5 billion in value-added activity to the state’s gross domestic product in 2017.
Washington is 4th in the nation for attracting bioscience venture capital distribution. In 2017, it brought in nearly $2 billion in investment.
