Statement on Microsoft committing $500 million to affordable housing, encouraging policy changes

Seattle Metro Chamber president and CEO Marilyn Strickland said, “Microsoft’s $500 million investment is another example of business leadership on two of our region’s most urgent needs. Housing affordability and homelessness are complex issues, and there are many ways to address them, including policy and zoning changes that will help increase the supply of affordable housing. Employers play a significant role, and we thank them for their continued engagement on this issue.”
