The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce today announced the appointment of Dominick Martin as its new vice president of external relations. Martin, who starts this week, will lead the Chamber’s policy and government relations activities, including working with key partners in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to ensure that the Seattle region is the best possible place for companies and their employees.
Martin comes to the Chamber with over a decade of experience as director and strategic advisor for EMC Research. There, he worked with a number of local coalition groups and advocacy organizations, including the Chamber’s advocacy organization, CASE, and he will bring this deep understanding of local policy and politics to this new role. Prior to moving to the Seattle area, Martin worked in local politics in California’s Central Valley and served in the United States Marine Corps.
