Initial Returns Show Seattle Voters are Ready for Change

Initial election results show CASE-endorsed candidates among the top two candidates in all seven Seattle City Council races. 

Marilyn Strickland, president and CEO of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, said, “Seattle voters have a clear choice this fall between new leadership or more of the same. We now have the opportunity to elect people who can rebuild trust, get back to the basics of local government, and represent the districts they serve.”  

The Civic Alliance for a Sound Economy (CASE) endorsed the following candidates for the primary elections: 

  • Seattle City Council District 1: Phil Tavel
  • Seattle City Council District 2: Mark Solomon
  • Seattle City Council District 3: Egan Orion
  • Seattle City Council District 4: Alex Pedersen
  • Seattle City Council District 5: Debora Juarez
  • Seattle City Council District 6: Heidi Wills and Jay Fathi
  •  Seattle City Council District 7: Jim Pugel and Michael George
