American introduced the first scheduled air cargo service, the first airport lounge and the first airline loyalty program and continues to reinvent the customer experience today.
Why did you join the Chamber?
American Airlines joined the Seattle Metro Chamber to deepen our engagement with the region’s business community and to collaborate with local leaders on policies that support a competitive, vibrant aviation and economic environment. We are proud to join alongside our oneworld alliance and codeshare partner, Alaska Airlines, in supporting the Seattle market.

What’s new or on the horizon for your company in 2026?
In 2026, American Airlines will continue investing in a modern fleet, improved customer experience initiatives like free Wi-Fi and enhanced food and beverage, and operational changes to make us even more reliable. We also remain focused on strengthening partnerships and expanding connectivity that supports Seattle’s role as a key gateway for business and leisure travelers.
