New measures to slow the spread of novel coronavirus in our state prohibit all gatherings with more than 50 participants until further notice, and all gatherings of 50 participants and below unless previously announced criteria for hygiene and social distancing are met.

We take these measures seriously as an organization that hosts frequent gatherings. The Chamber has reviewed all of our events through May 15, and we have decided to postpone, cancel, or pivot them to a webinar as follows:

Cancelled

  • Business Issues Forum, March 17
  • Business After Hours at Pacific Science Center, April 9
  • 2020 International Leadership Mission to Munich, Germany, May 11-15
  • 2020 Intercity Study Mission to Toronto, June 23-26

Postponed until further notice

  • Toast of Seattle at WeWork, March 12
  • WIBLI Collective, March 24

Host as a webinar

  • Alaska Business Forum: The Economy of Climate Change, April 3
  • WIBLI 21 Lunch, April 14
  • Executive Speaker Series: Outdoor Recreation, April 29
  • Alaska Business Forum: Diving Deep into the Blue Economy, May 7

If you are registered for these events, you will receive additional communication about next steps.

We will continue to monitor guidance from Public Health and make decisions accordingly about events during this time and after May 15. We will keep our members updated as we make these decisions.

Keep up with updates on our upcoming Events and find out about our new #WeGotThisWA Series on our Chamber Events calendar.

The Chamber continues to be committed to the health and well-being of our members and their employees.
