Today’s featured member, Beth Knox, President and CEO of the Seattle Sports Commission, said the commission is a collaborative and convening force that actualizes the positive power of sports.

Tell us about your organization

As a member-based organization, we galvanize stakeholders to bid on and host sporting events that drive positive social and economic impact and position Seattle as a world-class sports destination.

We serve as a one-stop resource to our professional sports teams, university athletic departments, sports venues, and youth sports organizations, as well as event organizers interested in the Seattle market.

Why did you join the Chamber?

Furthering our connection with members of the greater Seattle region strengthens our pursuit and hosting of meaningful sporting events. All of us, whether as individuals or organizations, are impacted by sports culture – being a member of the Chamber is a way to bring the opportunities that come with sporting events to our region.

What are you/is your business interested in – or – what do you need currently?

The Sports Commission hosts several signature events that serve to engage and enhance the community through sports. On April 22, we are hosting our annual Region Ready Summit to bring together members in business, hospitality and tourism, government, and sports communities in greater Seattle around hosting major sporting events. This is an opportunity to get the latest details on upcoming events including the FIFA World Cup 2026 and to provide input on the road map for how we create holistically successful sports events that will influence our region for decades to come. Please join us at the event or reach out if you’re interested in becoming a member of the Sports Commission.
