Seafair Summer Fourth – Know Before You Go

This past April, Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Seafair announced, “Seattle’s annual Lake Union 4th of July fireworks celebration is on!” With a new funding strategy, producer, and great business and community support, citizens can rest assured that the show will indeed go on.

The Chamber and Seafair collaborated with leading businesses to develop a long-term and sustainable funding plan to ensure the 4th of July fireworks show remains an iconic community event for years to come. We hope everyone has a happy and safe fourth of July celebration!

Some important items to know before heading out to Lake Union on the Fourth of July:

  • 12:00 p.m. Gates open
  • 2:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. Performances, contests and games for all ages
  • 10:15 p.m. Fireworks show begins!
Activities & Exhibitors
Cold air inflatables for the kids, the Gravitron Gyroscope, stage entertainment, egg and spoons races, tug-o-war, sack races, hula hoop contest, food vendors and beer garden, plus interactive booths and exhibitors. Watch for appearances by the Seafair Princesses, Pirates and Clowns!

Food & Beverage
You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages into Gas Works Park. Coolers are allowed into the park (subject to search). However, personal barbecues and alcohol are not permitted on the fourth of July. Food and beverage booths vendors will be open for business starting at noon, featuring burgers, hot dogs, ice cream and more. A beer garden will be set up for 21+.

Parking will be limited due to street closures. Patrons with disabilities have access to parking on a first-come, first-served basis. Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Buses will be running on a reduced holiday schedule so check listings. Cyclists are welcomed to use the express entrance but not that there ar a limited amount of bike racks inside the park.

If you can’t make it to an outdoor viewing site, watch Seattle’s best fireworks show live on KIRO7 with news anchors Steve Raible and Angela Russell beginning at 9:00 p.m.
